Focus on People

Get to know three of our leaders, board members who continue to guide the direction of the services we provide to young people and their families in need.

Larry Cheatham has left a lasting imprint on the leadership of MCCH.  For over 50 years, until 1995, the Board of Trustees was made up of the Central Church of Christ eldership.  In 1995, the Board felt that the work of MCCH would benefit from stronger connections through Board membership to other congregations in Kansas, which was an historic change. Larry and his wife Sheila now live in Austin, TX, but return often to see their daughters and families here in Wichita.
Marc Clements, his wife Raquel, and their three daughters live in west Wichita.   He is a corporate attorney for the Jarden Corporation.   Marc came on the Board in October of 2006 and has contributed in many ways to the health and stability of the children's home.
Bob Rives has graciously returned for a second term of Board service.  During his first term, Bob served as Chairman and was instrumental in 1999-2000 in leading the decision to return MCCH to private placement and funding.   He and his wife Priscilla visited several sister children's homes to research the programs and funding they had in place.   We are grateful for the experience and wisdom that Bob brings to the Board.

If you know someone who has had a significant impact on MCCH, please contact us with information that can be shared with others in this spot.
